Community Engagement Associate, Indianapolis, IN

Exhibits and Marketing, 2022 - 2023

A collaborative exhibit with the Museum of Broken Relationships in Croatia and Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis. Correspondence with donors, various exhibit location owners, and the main Museum in Zagreb, Croatia; Adobe Creative Suite graphic designs for posters, label texts, social media posts, and maps of all exhibit locations; collection care, handling, and storage; planning of exhibit designs for main exhibit and smaller exhibits around Indianapolis.

 

Indiana Medical History Museum, Indianapolis, IN

Hidden Health Hazards Intern, 2022 - 2023 

Health and safety upkeep in the museum. Trained to identify, research, and manage hazardous chemical collections and fluid-preserved specimens that pose health and safety hazards to the museum. Identification and mitigation of toxins in museum collections around the world and in-depth research on spill response of unknown chemicals.

Oversaw employees and daily operations; opened, closed, and balanced register at the start and end of each day; trained new employees; and helped plan and set up events. 

 

Western Kentucky University Art Department, Bowling Green, KY 

Office Assistant, 2020-2021

Assisted the Head of the Art Department by leading virtual and in-person tours for prospective students, updated documents, organized mail, assisted in the gallery spaces as needed, contacted students to return artwork from past shows, made posters for the studios, cleaned and adhered to CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 Pandemic, and answered student’s and prospective student’s questions.

 

Western Kentucky University Art Department, Bowling Green, KY 

Studio Tech for Weaving and Painting Studios, 2020-2021

Assisted the weaving professor by leading instructions, researching weaving techniques, and answering student questions for all weaving course levels. I assisted the painting professor by hanging and organizing artwork, painting walls, and reorganizing the painting studio as needed. In both studios, I cleaned and adhered to CDC guidelines during the COVID-19 Pandemic, organized, made posters, distributed materials, and assisted the painting and weaving professors when needed. 

 

Abel Construction, Louisville, KY 

Safety Supervisor Admin, 2018 - 2019 

Provides administrative support services to the Safety Supervisor at Abel Construction. Organized and filed safety information, logged data for and assisted with orientations, updated documents, and did any needed administrative duties. 

 

Speed Art Museum, Louisville, KY

Intern, Director’s Office, 2017

Provided administrative support services to the director’s office for Kentucky’s premier fine arts museum. Organized and assembled meeting materials for board and board committee meetings, updated documents, phones, and filing, created training binders, assisted with reference checks, and any needed administrative duties. Additional support for the Curatorial, Development, and Facility Operations Departments in the areas of organization, membership, grant research, and filing projects.
